Issue
Do you know what the current, and planned, programmes and projects will have on your day-to-day business e.g. KPIs or staff?

Do you know that the day to day business can cope with all of the changes that are planned as part of the current programmes and projects?

Any large scale programme of change requires a clear view of implementation impacts in order to ensure that stakeholder communication and readiness is adequate and that benefits realisation plans are realistic and individuals have accountability for benefits delivery.

Audience
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of a large organisation who is responsible for delivering the benefits of initiatives through successful organisational change.

Either the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO), the Business Change Manager (BCM) or the Programme Manager who has some level responsibility for Stakeholder communication.

Approach
The service will consist of three main stages information gathering, application of MSP principles with interim report, and final report and recommendations.

Information Gathering The scope of the engagement will be agreed as the first activity and this will quickly be followed by a number of interviews and observations to collect information about what is currently in place. Information will be gathered about the following:

a) the process for defining a programme or project and the recording of the benefits

b) the view of the organisation after the completion of the programme (Blueprint)

c) stakeholder identification and communication

d) benefits realisation plan and measurement processes

Application of MSP Principles Once the current structures and procedures are understood the Consultant will apply guidelines as laid out in MSP to the stakeholder management plans and the client’s benefits realisation plans and will identify areas for implementation or improvement.

The Consultant will prepare an interim report during this phase in order to confirm the data gathered and any assumptions made. Further information gathering will take place at this stage if needed.

Final Report and Recommendations A recommendations document will be produced and will be presented to the Client.
