Bill Knight
Founder & CEO

Bill co-founded Ergo in 1998 to provide programme management consultancy and application development services to a blue chip client base, including Prudential, Forbes, Schroders, Scottish Equitable and IBM amongst others. He has more than 20 years experience of leading business change working as a Programme Director or Interim General Manager in organisations such as the London Stock Exchange and Network Rail, leading large multi disciplined teams of 200+ and controlling budgets of up to £50M. He holds an MSc in Organisational Consulting from Ashridge Business School. It is his understanding of the practical challenges of business change, combined with his academic knowledge of change management that inspired the Enterprise PACE vision.
 
Bill provides leadership and direction to position the company as market definers and leaders.

Graham Higgins
Director of Consulting Services

Graham joined Ergo in September 2007 as Director of Consulting Services. Graham has over 20 years experience in managing and delivering large scale programmes and projects and managing high calibre Professional Services teams. Prior to joining Ergo, Graham was a Director of Professional Services for Vignette Corporation, a US based Content Management software company, within the UK, Nordic, Middle East and Africa markets. Prior to Vignette, Graham worked in a variety of programme, project and change management roles at IBM Tivoli and IMS International after starting his career at the Prudential Assurance Company. Graham holds a BSc in Pure Mathematics from the University of Wales and is a certified MSP Advanced Practitioner.

John Shepherd
Director of Engineering

John joined Ergo as the Director of Engineering. He has 20 years experience in the IT industry, working in Engineering and Product Management roles in specialist industry verticals, such as Insurance Broking, and also with cross-industry vendors – such as Document Management and Content Management providers. John has worked in both COTS product and bespoke client development environments, ensuring clients needs are provided in the products Ergo deliver. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Newcastle University, Australia.

Tony Joy
Director Training and Education Services

Tony has more than 15 years experience as a Senior Programme / Project Manager with a proven track record in securing Professional Services business and delivering Enterprise Content Management solutions. He is an experienced MSP Advanced Practitioner who is currently in the process of becoming an accredited MSP instructor. He is a qualified teacher and has been involved in training of various types during his 28 years in the IT industry, including being an instructor in a corporate rollout of the Crosby Quality Management system. A well developed background in overseeing the entire project lifecycle from conception through to conclusion using PRINCE 2 and other recognised methodologies. Extensive experience ranging from; pre-sales activities such as bid management and contract negotiations, through to Web Content Management and Document and Records Management implementation, to Risk and Issue management and assignment management.

Sarah Knight
Corporate Services Director

Sarah is responsible for all Ergo support activities, including Finance, HR, Compliance, contract administration and facilities. She has been with Ergo since start-up in 1998, and has been soley responsible for setting up and developing all internal processes and procedures within the company.

Sarah holds a degree in Management Science from Loughborough University, and spent the first 8 years of her career working within IT for Prudential Assurance. During this time she developed extensive expertise in the field of IT Service Management, laterly running a large department responsible for IT Account Management, service level management and reporting, Problem & Change management, IT Disaster Recovery and Batch Systems Control.            

Sarah’s previous management experience in the IT industry ensures a strong relationship between front and back-office functions within the company, and her attention to detail and hands-on approach has ensured that the growth of the company has been successfully controlled and managed.
